A little about me!
I trained as a teacher of modern foreign languages at Edge Hill University College from 1973 to 1976.
My first teaching appointments as a teacher of French at Nether Stowe, a large comprehensive school in Lichfield, Staffordshire, UK.
From 1982 till 1984 I was as Head of Modern Languages at Westwood girls school in Reading, Berkshire, UK. This school has now amalgamated with the boys school and is known as Prospect school.
During my time at Nether Stowe I took part in the teacher Exchange programme run by the Central Bureau for Education Visits and Exchanges, which enabled me to spend a year teaching in France. In September 1980, I found myself in CES Pasteur in Bron, France, where I taught English as a foreign language.
In 1984 I got a job in Lyon, France and began teaching
English as a Foreign Language. I have lived and worked in the region ever
since.
